Controller Input
Input settings allow you to map and calibrate controller inputs for both keyboard/mouse and game controllers (including VR hand controllers).
Options
Trackpad Mode changes the behavior of controller touchpads. When enabled, axis values are only output when the pad button is physically pressed.
Use Secondary Axes enables reading inputs from controllers that have both a thumbstick and a trackpad (such as WMR controllers).
Use Gamepad enables game controllers/gamepads even when running in VR mode.
Use Grip Input toggles grip button inputs on or off. Turning it off prevents accidental grabs or grip-drag interactions.
Grip Threshold (0.0 to 1.0) sets the actuation threshold for the grip button. Useful for highly sensitive controllers (like Valve Index) to prevent accidental triggers.
Controller Mapping
You can customize the mapping of various axes and buttons on your controller:
- Axes can be mapped to actions like camera movement, rotation, timeline scrubbing, or frame stepping.
- Buttons can be mapped to actions like playing motions, loading next/previous models, slow-motion, or resetting physics.
- Alt Keys can be assigned to map keyboard keys to controller buttons.
