Formation
Formation controls how the actors are laid out in the scene, and provides convenient tools to reset actor positions.
Formation Types
Select from a variety of layout patterns:
- V Shape: Places actors in a V layout using both X Dist and Y Dist.
- A Shape: Places actors in an A layout using both X Dist and Y Dist.
- Line: Aligns actors horizontally with X Dist as the distance between them.
- Circle: Places actors in a circle where X Dist controls the radius and Y Dist controls the offset.
- Zero: Sets zero offset and rotation for all actors. This is useful for multi-actor dances where individual positions are already authored into the motions.
- Fan Shape: Arranges actors in a fan layout.
Settings
X Dist and Y Dist control the spacing scale of the selected formation.
Rotation rotates each individual actor.
Orientation rotates the entire formation group as a whole.
Offset X and Offset Y shift the center of the formation.
Spectators
Actors labeled as spectators are grouped into a separate formation that circles around the main stage.
- Use Spectator Formation enables spectator positioning.
- Spectator Dist sets the radius for spectators.
- Rotate Spectators rotates spectators to face the center of the stage.
